On June 18, Florence County Extension Agent Tony Melton assisted by Master Gardeners Linda Belcher, Bob Orlowski, Gretchen Baumann and Velma Floyd taught 80 children how to plant tomatoes. The kids learned how to prepare the soil, plant the tomatoes and finally how to care for them. The Florence County Master Gardeners are proud to have not only participated in the camp, but also to sponsor 3 of the children.
